Today was a pretty standard Sunday, consisting of an early start of porrige, banana and honey, then out on the weekly clube ride.
I ride with a club called The Cyclists of Stamford, which is a fantastic club with multiple groups of riding ability to suit all ages and abilities. I ride with the ‘Reasonably Quick’ group which aims to average 16-18 mph but can exceed that on flatter routes.
This week was a 46.5 mile ride averaging 18.1 mph, so I was very pleased with that, albeit finding it quite hard at times. Anyway, group shot…

The rest of the day was back to painting windows and giving the new lawn a ‘first cut’ after seeding it several times, but that’s going to be a pretty long project in its own right…
Oh yeah, I’m also a third of the way through my ‘Go Sober for October‘ challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Only 20-days to go, but it’s actually not too difficult because I have plenty of things to keep me busy and I’m looking to lose weight and improve my fitness to ride with the ‘Quicks’ TCOS group in 2022, so that (as well as raising money) is my current motivation!
